Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Radact. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms and Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these Terms conflict with Apple's terms, Apple's terms control to the extent required.
Use of Radact
Radact helps redact or mark up photos and PDF documents. You are responsible for reviewing every page and edited result before saving, sharing, publishing, or relying on it. Automatic face, text, and barcode detection may miss sensitive content, identify non-sensitive areas, or produce incomplete results.
Your content
You keep your rights to the photos and documents you import into Radact. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to access, edit, save, or share that content. You grant Radact only the temporary, device-local access needed to perform the actions you request.
Acceptable use
Do not use Radact to violate laws, infringe rights, harass others, misrepresent evidence, or hide information in a way that is fraudulent or harmful.
Free and premium features
Radact may offer free usage limits, watermarked exports, auto-renewable subscriptions, and a one-time Lifetime purchase. Premium features, pricing, trial eligibility, and availability may vary by country and are shown in the app before purchase. Apple controls final localized prices, taxes, billing currency, and trial eligibility.
Subscriptions and cancellation
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm a purchase. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Free trials, when offered and eligible, convert to the selected paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Apple handles billing, refunds, payment methods, and purchase disputes under its App Store policies.
Privacy and diagnostics
Radact processes photo and PDF contents on your device. App Store and TestFlight builds use limited anonymous Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics data for analytics, app functionality, and reliability. This data does not include your photos, PDF contents, recognized text, or user account identifiers. See the Privacy Policy for the complete disclosure.
Ownership and license
Radact, its design, software, branding, and documentation are owned by the developer or its licensors. You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app under these Terms and Apple's license terms. You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, rent, sell, or exploit the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
No professional advice
Radact is an editing tool. It does not provide legal, compliance, security, or privacy advice. If you need to meet a legal or regulatory redaction standard, review the output carefully and consult a qualified professional.
Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, free limits, or purchase offerings as the product evolves. Changes do not alter an active subscription period except as permitted by Apple and applicable law. We aim to keep Radact reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Radact is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for missed redactions, disclosure caused by an unreviewed export, loss of content, or indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination
You may stop using Radact at any time. We may suspend access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or a material violation of these Terms. Subscription cancellation and refunds remain governed by Apple.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Radact changes. The date above shows when the latest version took effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.
